STIX 2.1 is now an OASIS Committee Specification (CS) standard for sharing of machine-readable threat intelligence (MRTI). The final can be access here. Critical infrastructure owners and operators, vendors in this market space, government agencies, law enforcement entities, academic institutions, and ISACs & ISAOs are now adopting STIX 2.1 and it’s companion TAXII 2.1.
Companies are transitioning from producing and consuming the STIX 1.x, XML-based version to the new STIX 2.1 JSON-based version. But, the transition is not easy. The STIX 2.x standard represents a major revision with numerous updates.
