David is a partner at FBC and is a co-founder of The CyberMaryland Conference, The National Cyber Education Map, The National Cyber Map, the original CyberHive at UMBC, and has produced the National Cyber Security Hall of Fame since its inception. He is currently spearheading multiple initiatives geared to defining and advancing cyber throughout the country. FBC was recently selected to provide a primary support role to MITRE in the establishment of the National Cyber Center of Excellence, Federally Funded Research and Development Corporation and works together with NIST and LifeJourney to develop the National Initiative for Cyber Education Conference. FBC was also selected to participate in a NAVY-wide program to provide conference and meeting support for all Navy components.
Pierluigi Paganini (Italy)
Mr. Paganini is a cybersecurity expert with over 20 years’ experience in the field. He is Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) at EC Council in London. His passion for writing and a strong belief that security is founded on sharing and awareness led Pierluigi to start the security blog “Security Affairs” recently named a Top National Security Resource for the US. Mr. Paganini is a member of the ENISA (European Union Agency for Network and Information Security) Threat Landscape Stakeholder Group and is currently the CISO of Bit4Id s.r.l. Mr. Pagannini is fluent in Italian and English.
Niels Groeneveld (Netherlands)
Mr. Groeneveld has over 17 years of experience in telecom and computer network operations and research. He is an internationally recognized leader in botnet research and take-down. He has designed and implemented a large-scale automated malware collection and analysis system used by clients throughout Europe and the Americas. He has led computer security incident response teams and performed all of the functions of network management. Mr. Groeneveld is currently a Threat Intelligence Analyst at RedSocks B.V. Jane Ginn, MSIA, MRP (USA)
Ms. Ginn has over 30 years of international business experience in engineering consulting, information technology, and more recently cyber security threat intelligence. She serves as the Co-Secretary on the OASIS Cyber Threat Intelligence – Technical Committee (CTI-TC) on STIX/TAXII standards development and the European Network Information & Security Agency (ENISA) Threat Landscape Stakeholders Group. She has served on a U.S. Federal-level advisory board on international trade and has performed several different leadership roles in various organizations throughout the years. She holds an MSIA from Norwich University and an MRP from Washington State University. She is currently the lead curriculum designer for the Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance (ACTRA), a threat intelligence ISAO. She is also the Co-Founder of the Sports-ISAO. She is also a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the Ridge College of Intelligence Studies at Mercyhurst University.
Emilio Iasiello (USA)
Mr. Iasiello has more than 12 years’ experience as a strategic cyber intelligence analyst, supporting US government civilian and military intelligence organizations, and a private sector company providing cyber intelligence to Fortune 100 clients. He has delivered cyber threat presentations to NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence and Aviation 2013. Mr. has published extensively in such peer-reviewed journals as Parameters, Comparative Strategy, Journal of Strategic Security, and Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Mr. Iasiello is currently is currently a senior cyber intelligence analyst at Fidelis Cybersecurity.
Ben Othman (Finland)
Mr. Othman’s experience spans a wide range of institutional best practices frameworks and security protocols governing key elements of the Internet infrastructure. He has a good hands-on, working knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies for enterprise monitoring of networks and endpoints. He is also well versed in computer security incident response methodologies and practices, including the regulatory frameworks that stem from ISO, 27k, ENISA, NIST and the PCI-DSS. He provides regular training programs for NATO and other clients on these subjects. Mr. Othman is fluent in Finish, English & Arabic.
Dan Nowak (USA)
Mr. Nowak has spent nearly two decades deep in the trenches of Fortune-X information security programs spearheading battles against hackers, worms, malicious insiders and human error. His career has taken him through many varied corporate landscapes ranging from the world of Big-4 and boutique security consulting, to security management at global holding companies, into the heart of Software as a Service (SaaS) application service providers. He has also been involved in developing an intelligence focused security practice at a US$800m federal integrator. He has a broad background in InfoSec and has been involved in the information security community since the early 1990’s. He has given briefings to US and international organizations ranging from US Federal government agencies to Fortune 100 firms, NGOs, and various law enforcement agencies.
